Hello,

We are using an ABP Business license and have been actively utilizing ABP Studio in our development processes. However, we are encountering a critical issue with the tool that is affecting its usage within our organization.

Our specific concerns are as follows:

The executable Volo.Abp.Studio.UI.Host.exe is being flagged by our antivirus as a threat with the detection label PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic. This detection has raised serious security concerns, leading to corporate restrictions on the use of the software. The inability to use ABP Studio is directly impacting our development workflows, especially given the significant investment made in adopting this platform. We kindly request your support in resolving this issue.

Specifically: Could you confirm if this is a false positive and provide any necessary details or steps to whitelist the executable with antivirus systems? If it is not a false positive, could you investigate the cause of the detection and provide a secure update or alternative solution?

  • Steps to reproduce the issue: Launch ABP Studio on a machine with antivirus enabled. Antivirus flags Volo.Abp.Studio.UI.Host.exe as PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic and prevents further execution. The situation is urgent, as this issue is blocking development efforts. Any guidance or resolution would be greatly appreciated.

    It has been 9 days since we opened this ticket, and unfortunately, we have not received any response yet.

    As a Business license subscriber, we expect timely support and resolution for critical issues, especially given the significant investment we have made in your platform.

    Could you please provide an update on the status of this ticket and an estimated resolution timeline? The lack of response is concerning, as it does not align with the level of service promised under the Business plan.

    Normally there is no warning or threat found by any antivirus software: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file-analysis/ODY4MDVjYmFkMzI3ODA5M2MzNTU0NTgwNTllYzBkZTA6MTczNjQ5MzM2OQ==

    But this kind of warnings might happen according to behavioral actions by the application. If you can send the detailed log about this warning, we can try to find that action and find a better way to do that.
