Show Password not working in v8.0.3 #6681

Hello,

The Show Password feature on Login and Register pages does not display the password. The eye-slash icon disappears and the password remains obscured (****). The issue occurs in a new solution created using ABP Suite v8.0.3. Is the new password complexity feature interfering with show password?

  • ABP Framework version: v8.0.3
  • UI Type: Angular
  • Database System: EF CorePostgreSQL
  • Tiered (for MVC) or Auth Server Separated (for Angular): no
  • Exception message and full stack trace: Create a new application using ABP Suite
  • Steps to reproduce the issue: Click Login, type in a password, click on the eye-slash icon
    • Expected Result: Expected the *** to change to plain text password (i.e. input to change from type=password to type=text)
    • Actual Result: eye-slash icon disappears, no change to password - it remains *** Note: I tested on Chrome Version 121.0.6167.160 (Official Build) (arm64)

    We will fix the problem in the next patch version.

    You can try to temporarily downgrade to version 8.0.2
