I am trying to update abp from 8.0.1 to 8.1.1. I did dotnet tool update -g Volo.Abp.Cli. Now when I run abp update in root directory all the nuget packages are updated but then it is stuck on Checking installed npm global packages... for around half an hour. After that the following exception is shown and the update crashes:

Volo packages are updated in XYZ solution

I want to add an extra property to IdentityUser. It's supposed to contain unique integer values, like a second Id for user. I'd like it to be generated automatically when adding row and not being editable. So I used given configuration in MyAppEfCoreEntityExtensionMappings:

            ObjectExtensionManager.Instance
                     .MapEfCoreProperty<IdentityUser, int>(
                         "Xyz",
                         (entityBuilder, propertyBuilder) =>
                         {
                             entityBuilder.HasIndex("Xyz").IsUnique();
                             propertyBuilder.ValueGeneratedOnAdd();
                         }
                     );

Problem is that now when I add new user through UI, I get an error:

2023-06-07 17:03:36.458 +02:00 [ERR] An error occurred while saving the entity changes. See the inner exception for details. Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.DbUpdateException: An error occurred while saving the entity changes. See the inner exception for details. ---> Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot update identity column 'Xyz'.

How do I configure it so it works to my requirements?

I'm creating a subscription for a new tenant:

var paymentRequest = await _subscriptionAppService.CreateSubscriptionAsync(EditionId, tenant.Id);
return LocalRedirectPreserveMethod("/Payment/GatewaySelection?paymentRequestId=" + paymentRequest.Id);

I have only Stripe configured so I am redirected to stripe payment page. I fill the data and submit the form. I get redirected back to my app and I see an error:

ApplicationException: Can not complete a payment in 'Completed' state!
Volo.Payment.Requests.PaymentRequest.Complete()

It runs locally, so I use stripe CLI to forward the events to webhook:

stripe listen --forward-to https://localhost:44342/api/payment/stripe/webhook
--events="customer.subscription.created,customer.subscription.deleted,customer.subscription.updated,checkout.session.completed"

I think it happens because the payment is completed in StripePaymentGateway.HandleWebhookAsync. and then in PostPayment page.

I am implementing a tenant self-registration behaviour with subscriptions, payments etc. I want to display an error page with contact informations when tenant subscription ends and it is no longer active. By default there is no such page in angular - only Error 404 page is displayed. On server side a basic page with error details is displayed. I am trying to implement custom http error handler in angular. The problem is that I cannot check if the error is caused by tenant being inactive. I found in your source code that "Abp-Tenant-Resolve-Error" header should be added to the response from server. Unfortunately in error handler the error response does not have it. Is this a configuration matter? How can I find out if the error is tenancy-related?

EDIT: I didn't mention it - I am using domain tenant resolver.

I created a new project using abp suite. I log in as a host and create new tenant. I the "New tenant" modal I need to input an email and a password. The password is not validated. I can pass a single character and there are no validation messages. I does not comply with the setting where I can decide if the password has to have one lowercase, one uppercase etc. The validation works in angular. I need the password validation method in another (custom) public page where I allow users to create a new tenant and subscription with stripe.

  • UI type: Angular
  • DB provider: EF Core
  • Tiered (MVC) or Identity Server Separated (Angular): no
  • Steps to reproduce the issue: Open ABP Suite, create new project with Angular as frontend Lepton X as theme

I found two problems with lepton X in angular.

  1. Collapse button is missing: It is visible in demo but when I create my own project, it is hidden

  2. TopMenu is not working: I changed SideMenuLayoutModule to TopMenuLayoutModule in app.module.ts and this is the result.

I've migrated my project from v5.3.4 to 6.0.2 then to 7.0.0. When migrating from Lepton to LeptonX, the "System" style was set automatically. In my angluar app I want it to be "Light" by default. I cannot find any parameter that would set that setting in angular app. The "DefaultStyle" parameter in HttpApiHostModule configuration has no effect on the angular app. How can I change the default style for every new user?

I have two ABP applications:

  1. Modular App (A)
  2. Single layer App (B)

They both expose APIs. I want app A to make a call to app B's endpoint. I've read that the best way to do it is to generate static proxies in app A because then I don't have to deal with HttpClient. I've followed the docs and successfully generated client proxies. The problem is that app A seems to need a reference to app B's .csproj - the proxy generation does not create a Dto or AppService in app A, it just adds using statement to B's namespace. Is there a way to keep these two apps completely separate i.e. without adding project references and keeping the communication just on the HTTP request level?

I am testing behaviour of Concurrency Check. I followed the implementation described in docs. However, when there's conflict with concurrency stamps I do not get the expected error modal in my client (Angular) app. All I get is error page with "Unknown Error" message even though I see a 409 response in developer tools:

I found that this happens only when I call UpdateAsync on the repository exactly like in the documentation i.e. without autoSave: true parameter. When I add the autoSave: true parameter or call CurrentUnitOfWork.SaveChangesAsync() at the end I get expected error modal. My question is - is the documentation wrong for not pointing out that saving changes is required or is there something wrong in my implementation?

I want to create a system where there are two different types of user with possibly different client apps, let's say it's an e-commerce system where I need allow logging for customers and for employees. They obiously cannot use the same features so I wanted do create separate client angular app for customers just like you did in this sample and added separate Client in Identity Server settings. My question is - how can I distinguish these two types of users and prevent one from accesing another's client app. The only possibility I can see is assigning them different roles and authorizing every endpoint. To achieve this I should assign the role automatically when registering user - is there a way to assign it based on what client is calling the API?

Or maybe your IdentityServer module provides different way to achieve it? It's probably a common use case for your framework.
