Trying to run the Cms-Kit Module solution #4018

  Can you share the information about your solution like

  • Is it a tiered solution
  • What is the UI (mvc/blazor/angular)

  On which page do you receive this error?

  It is the solution in the dev branch and I receive this error on every page, steps I followed

  1. I forked the abp dev branch
  2. Closed it to C:\abp
  3. I ran the Build-all.ps1 in C:\abp\build in powershell
  4. I then ran dotnet restore in the C:\abp\framework directory and also the C:\abp\modules\cms-kit
  5. Open the Volo.CmsKit.sln
  6. Set the Volo.CmsKit.Web.Unified as a startup project
  7. ranupdate-database in the package manager console
  8. ran the solution

  It seems you're on dev branch.

  Localization logic is changed in v7.0 but npm packages aren't published yet. So, if you run abp install-libs, 6.0 packages will be installed.

  You can overcome this issue by replacing abp.js with following file in the dev branch: https://github.com/abpframework/abp/blob/dev/npm/packs/core/src/abp.js

  thanks for that ... it worked by me replacing the abp.js under wwwroot\libs\abp ... I wanted to submit a pull request should I wait till Version 7 is released?

  The team already solved this issue in version 7 and next week will be released rc1

  dev branch means v7.0 If your contribution is done & merged before rc1 release, it'll be included in rc1. If not it'll be shipped rc2 or stable version.

  Each commit that is pushed into dev branch after separated a rel- branch will be shipped into the next major version.
