Trying to create a new 10.2 solution. i have tried both studio and the cli. Both generate a 10.1.1 solution. if i use the cli in a 10.1.1 solution and say abp update it upgrades the backend to 10.2.
i'm on a mac, and my boss is on windows.
i removed both the cli and studio and reinstalled fresh, no luck
we use the new ootb solution as a guide. also we want to know what is the frontend angular version. hoping it is 22

- What you’re seeing is expected: ABP Studio/CLI generates solutions using a fixed “startup template version” based on the Studio version, not necessarily the latest ABP Framework version.
- According to the ABP Studio version mapping, ABP Studio 2.2.2–2.2.4 generates startup templates with ABP 10.1.1. So even if you select “10.2.0” in the UI, the created solution can still start from 10.1.1, and then you upgrade it.
- To get a 10.2 solution, the supported approach is:
- Create the solution (it may be 10.1.1 initially due to mapping)
- Upgrade it to the latest (10.2) using the CLI:
abp update(run in the solution root)- Frontend Angular version: ABP documentation states that the current Angular UI uses Angular 20.0.x (not Angular 22).

Hello,
The
switch-to-xcommands (https://abp.io/docs/latest/cli#switch-to-stable) are used to update your current project to a specific version. In contrast, the update command (https://abp.io/docs/latest/cli#installation) upgrades the ABP CLI tool installed on your system.
Since you're working with the Suite tool, it’s best to match its version with your project version to ensure smooth and consistent code generation. You can find more details here: https://abp.io/docs/latest/suite
Lastly, we follow Angular’s release cycle and wait for their versions to become stable before adopting them. You can track these updates in our release notes: https://abp.io/docs/latest/release-info/release-notes
If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out. Thank you for your cooperation.
