- ABP Framework version: v0.9.22
For some reason, the previous thread about the upgrade of the React Native / Expo template was closed without another one being opened so we decided to open one ourselves as there seem to be multiple problems still that needs to be solved. Maybe others have had better luck, but for us, it is not even working to launch the Expo Web with a newly created project with default configuration so we have not tried to use it for an actual production project yet. If someone else has, please share your experience, hopefully it is working better for others.
We would really need some input from ABP Team about the future of the React Native / Expo template and if it is still a first class citizen. That said, we truly hope and believe that these bugs will be ironed out and that ABP will again have a working React Native / Expo template which has been missing for several months now. Lets work together to make this great.
Thanks.

Yes, indeed it automatically closes, unfortunately :(
We will add an option to our support platform, so it will not close in the future.

4 months later and the only one working on this seems to be the service bot.

5 months later now and still no one at ABP seem to be working with this (at least based on the non input in this thread).
Isn't it just easier for everyone to say that there is no support for React Native / Expo in ABP anymore and that there are no plans to reintroduce it? Or am I missing something here?

Hello again,
Yes, we are still supporting the React Native template. We will soon be focusing more closely on it to align with the latest features and address any potential issues or degradations. In the meantime, the templates remain safe to use.

Hi,
Due to our priorities and workload in other areas, we haven’t been able to focus on this as much as we would have liked. However, we will now be dedicating more attention to addressing the issues here.
Best regards

If only the service bot could be trained to solve tickets instead of just closing them.

Since obviously no one at ABP is working on this and probably never will, perhaps we should go ahead and close it?

We have been enhancing our React Native template to provide an even better development experience. As part of this effort, we are incorporating the latest React Native and Expo updates to elevate the workflow. Stay tuned for the next upcoming releases.

Can we please create a support ticket regarding this overzealous support bot?
