I tried to modify the plugin according to the documentation https://www.chartjs.org/docs/3.9.1/developers/plugins.html, unfortunately without success. I am unable to trigger any events. Could you please provide an example of a plugin where, for instance, beforeDraw: (chart, args, options) => { console.log(chart); } is executed?
