Thanks for providing an update and continue working on this.
Hi,
Thank you ensin for another good and professional answer(s).
We will be looking into this more in detail when we have time for it.
Unless it has been done recently, I believe you need to improve documentation regarding what's what about theming and themes.
As I recall it, it is not very clear how to use LeptonX Lite in a commercial project instead of the full blown one and that there is also confusion about naming and same thing being called different things.
We find the LeptonX theme and the idea behind it a bit confusing in itself and what the intended usage really is. Like the fact that in every new project, you would have to manually spend time on overriding the "Copyright Volosoft" in the footer which for whatever reason is there out of the box even though I can't think of a single use case where one of your customers would want that in their apps. The theme also feels a bit over engineered with regards to look and feel, unless most of your customers are using ABP Commercial to create games or gambling sites which I doubt.
Related to our discussion in the React Native thread, this is another reason why we decided to create our own template instead of using the default one as we found ourselves constantly fighting with the theme for our typical LOB applications we create for our clients.
Thanks.
Hi enisn and thank you for what I believe is the first professional answer here from ABP. And by that I mean in the context of ABP Commercial actually being a quite expensive commercial product which is something else than an open source product where everything naturally is "best effort".
This topic has been going on for several years now (this is the second ticket we created for it) even though what we are asking for is basically that what's been promised in marketing and sold from day one and that it should at least not be broken out of the box.
We have kind of been paying for the privilege to be beta testers for this for a couple of years now and have given up and created our own template as the included one obviously have had limited value. So we probably wont give the included one another try before you actually let us know that you believe in it yourselves and that it has at least been tested internally to the point that it will at least be possible to run in a newly created ABP solution.
We are happy to see what we believe is a more professional approach to the support section of ABP Commercial lately in this thread and some others lately, something we believe is very important for the future of ABP Commercial. We hope that this is the new normal going forward and not the "we might do something about it in the future according to our internal secret road map". This said, we don't doubt that everyone in the ABP Teams is doing and have been doing what you can and we understand the challenges of handling an open source project side by side with a commercial one.
Thanks.
Thanks you for a detailed answer.
Please tell more about that theme builder.
Thanks.
Sounds promising.
Even though we gave up and built our own Expo app from scratch, any news here?
Thanks, but having to rely on CSS changed for enabling/disabling security features isn't really an option here, we are looking for something that actually makes it possible to disable the features, not just hide them. Ideally that you could control via UI just like you can with Enable self registration (something like that) already. For now, even a code change server side would be OK if we have to.
ABP Team please
How can we easily disable "Remember me" and "password reminder" in ABP without resorting to having to modify login page to hide stuff etc?
Does not seem like these options are available in UI for account module unlike just quickly disable the option for new users to self register etc.
If you add missing Id part in Angular it works as expected
